Job Description

HVAC Technician

We are looking for a Heating/Air Conditioning Technician for our properties in Charlottesville. Our ideal candidate has at least five years of professional HVAC repair experience and can work independently. Top pay for skilled workman who is certified to diagnose and repair residential heat pump systems and is capable of performing other electrical and plumbing repairs. Steady, year-round work, with excellent benefits including paid time off and company paid health insurance. Experience supervising a maintenance staff is preferred but not required.

Job Duties:

• Determine customer concerns with their current HVAC system
• Inspect current HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety
• Perform necessary repairs and routine maintenance
• Install new heating, cooling, and ventilation systems
• Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment and HVAC resources

Requirements:

• Completion of an HVAC training program at a vocational school or apprenticeship
• Current state HVAC technician license
• Certification through the Environmental Protection Agency to handle refrigerants required
• Proficient with manual and power tools
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Reliable and self-motivated
